Please Help Prevent Landfill Fires

The Lebanon Solid Waste Division, in partnership with the Lebanon Fire Department, is asking for your help to prevent landfill fires. Over the past several months, the Lebanon Landfill has extinguished 6 fires due to improper disposal of electronic devices that have lithium-ion batteries. Learn how you can help prevent these fires.

Tuesday is Election Day!

Don't forget that Tuesday, March 12, 2019 is the City/School Election day in Lebanon. Polls will be open from 7am to 7pm. We've compiled a list of things you need to know before the heading to the polls including how to find your polling location, what you need to register to vote on election day, sample ballots, and more. Election results will be posted as they are received.

Wild About Lebanon: Hike or Snowshoe Signal Hill

Celebrate the returning of the light on March 11th at 5pm with a hike along Signal Hill the day after Daylight Savings. The sun won’t set until almost 7pm so let’s get outside for an after-work hike! If conditions allow, we'll end with a small campfire.

Are you a lean, green, Shamrock Shufflin’ machine? Don’t miss the 18th Annual Lebanon Recreation and Parks Shamrock Shuffle 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run happening Saturday, March 16, 2019 at noon beginning and ending at Lebanon City Hall! The Shamrock Shuffle helps support local recreational programs and parks that make our community a better place to live and play.

Recreation & Parks Highlights


Drop In Volleyball – Thursday, March 7th, 7:30pm to 9:00pm, SAU #88; Drop-in for an organized evening of bump, set, hit with power volleyball. 

Wallcrawlers – Monday, March 11th 2:35pm to 5:30pm; Grades 5-8, come climb with Leb Rec after school. This program is designed to pick up participants at LMS, travel to Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center, boulder, climb and belay. Fees include transportation, climbing, belay lesson and gear. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.


Open Gym Basketball – Tuesday, March 12th 8pm to 10pm, SAU #88; Informal drop in basketball for adults ages 18 and up.

Lebanon Food Truck Festival Applications due Friday, March 15th; We are currently accepting applications for the Lebanon Food Truck Festival. The festival showcase the variety of food trucks the region has to offer, as well as support the small business owners who run them. Applications must be submitted by March 15, 2019 to be considered. Visit LebanonNH.gov/FoodTruck for details. 

Spring Sports Registration Deadline – Monday, March 18th; Register for the following Spring Sports by March 18th to receive $5 off your registration: 3rd-6th Grade Softball, 3rd-6th Grade Boys and Girls Lacrosse, 7th & 8th Grade Girls Lacrosse and Middle School Track and Field. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.
