July 4th Hours & Events

In observance of Independence Day, please note that City Hall, Lebanon Libraries, Lebanon Landfill, and all other City administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Be sure to participate in the following events being sponsored by the Recreation & Parks Department! 

Red, White & Blue 6.2, 5k and Fun Run – Wednesday, July 4th, Celebrate the 4th in your patriotic colors! Start your day with a 5k, 10k or fun run along the perfectly picturesque Rail Trail and Mill Road. Fun for all! For more information or to register, visit LebanonNH.gov/Recreation.

Fourth of July Celebration & Fireworks – Wednesday, July 4th 7 pm; Bring your family and friends out and continue your day celebrating the 4th! Enjoy a concert with The Flames and activities on Colburn Park at 7 pm and finish your night with fireworks at Storrs Hill at 9:20 pm. View complete details.

Please also remember that ALL retail fireworks other than sparklers are prohibited in the City of Lebanon.

Supporting Our Pollinators

Pollinators are critical to a healthy, diverse ecosystem, yet many pollinator populations are in alarming decline today. We can all support pollinators in our yards by providing pesticide-free habitats and forage. The Lebanon Conservation Commission invites you to learn more about how you can do your part to support pollinators in our local landscape. Every patch of land counts!

Lebanon Farmers’ Market – Thursday, June 28th 4 pm to 7 pm, Colburn Park; Enjoy wonderful selections of local fresh produce, plants, prepared foods, baked goods and handmade crafts. Please support our local farmers and vendors by shopping at the Lebanon Farmers’ Market! Live music this week by Althea & Alec.

Front Porch Concert Series: Lula Wiles, Bluegrass – Thursday, June 28th 7pm, SAU Auditorium; Showcasing nationally renowned and Grammy-nominated artists. Bring family, friends and your dinner!

Pre-School through 8th Grade Tennis Lessons – Registration Deadline Extended to Friday, June 29th! Challenge yourself to learn a lifetime sport. A fun introduction to tennis for younger players using modified equipment. Racquets are available. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Friday Funday on Colburn Park – Friday, June 29th 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, Colburn Park; A casual drop in program for children ages baby to 5 to come and play. Summertime is here and Leb Rec has the gear (aka toys). Come, play, meet and maybe make new friends!

Monday Night Concerts: Upper Valley Community Band – Monday, July 2nd 7 pm, Colburn Park; Old fashioned New England concerts! Bring a lawn chair and a friend!

Swim Lessons Session 2 Registration Deadline – Monday, July 2nd; Register for swim lessons by July 2nd for session 2: July 9th through July 27th online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Thursdays in the Park: Story Teller Simon Brooks – Thursday, July 5th 12 pm, Colburn Park; Bring your lunch and enjoy family entertainment. Performances begin at Noon.

Tuesdays in the Park: Free Fun Fitness Time with CCBA – Tuesday, July 10th, 12pm to 12:45pm, Colburn Park; All ages, come ready to move and bring your water and lunch to enjoy after!

Wednesdays Story Time in the Park – Wednesday, July 11th 12 pm to 12:45 pm, Colburn Park; Bring your lunch and come enjoy the Story of the Week! Co-Sponsored by Lebanon Public Library.

LebCity Luau – Sunday, July 15th 1 pm to 5 pm, Lebanon Memorial Pool; Bring your family and friends to celebrate summer with a Hawaiian-themed splash!

Mascoma River Greenway Grand Opening – Saturday, July 21st 9 am to Noon, APD Homestead Lawn, 127 Mascoma St., Lebanon; Explore the new rail trail connecting our community! Remarks by Mayor Prentiss and others at 9:15 am followed by guided tours of the trail with historians, naturalists, cyclists and trail experts. Meet the artists and view their sculptures.
