On August 9, 2018 at approximately 10:20 AM the Lebanon Police Department received a call regarding a single vehicle accident involving a van on Slayton Hill Road. Responding officers arrived to find a white utility van off the roadway and on its side in the woods, with the driver apparently having fled the scene.
Officer Tyler Hewes and his K9 partner Kymba tracked the driver into the woods and into a swamp area. A short time later a male subject was located by Lebanon Officers and subsequently arrested. Patrick S. Pruitt, age 21, of Bennet Court in Lebanon, was charged with Driving While Impaired by Drugs, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Conduct After an Accident, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Pruitt refused the services of a Bail Commissioner and was transported to the Grafton County Department of Corrections. He will be arraigned in the New Hampshire 2nd Circuit Court, District Division Lebanon on August 10, 2018.
