Body of Adult Male Recovered from Mascoma River

On Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at approximately 9:00 AM, the Lebanon Police Department received a call regarding an adult white male subject who appeared to be deceased in the Mascoma River in the area of 7 Foundry Street. Lebanon Police and Fire Units responded and confirmed the presence of a deceased male in the river at that location.

At approximately 11:00 AM, the Lebanon Fire Department were able to successfully recover the deceased from the river. Lebanon Patrol Officers and Detectives were able to positively identify the male subject as a 49-year-old male from Lebanon. The male was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord, NH pending an autopsy tomorrow to determine cause of death. This incident remains under investigation and the identity of the male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
