Full-Time Police Officers

If you are interested in working for a Police Department in a growing city that is dedicated to constant improvement, please take a moment to read further.

The Lebanon Police Department offers a challenging patrol area with a resident population of approximately 13,500. During the daytime, the population increases to approximately 35,000 due to the local economic and social activity of the area. We cover this area with 35 sworn officers and a total Police Department staff of approximately 50 people. We are very active and enjoy the support of the residents of the City of Lebanon.

The Lebanon area offers the best of northern New England and is located adjacent to the crossroads of I-89 and I-91 with I-89 running through the middle of the City. Lebanon Police Officers can live in the City or within 45 minutes of the station.

Chief Richard Mello and the Lebanon Police Department believes in utilizing contemporary and progressive policing practices. This includes a problem-oriented approach to policing and a dedicated effort toward community engagement. We provide and utilize modern equipment, which is constantly being upgraded and improved, so that we can provide a first-rate service to our community.
