2020 Election Schedule

February 11, 2020 Presidential Primary Election

  • October 25 (Friday) 7-7:30pm - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall (Last day to change party affiliation prior to Presidential Primary)
  • January 25 (Saturday) 9:00am to 12:00pm – Clerk’s office will be open for voter registration and absentee balloting.
  • January 31 (Friday) – Last day to register to vote at City Hall during regular business hours.
  • February 1 (Saturday) 9:00-9:30 am – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall.
  • February 1 (Saturday) 9:00am to 12:00pm – Clerk’s office will be open for voter registration and absentee balloting. Last day to register to vote prior to the Presidential Primary.
  • February 10 (Monday) – Last day to accept Absentee Ballots returned in person. City Clerk’s office will be open until 5:00PM.
  • February 11 (Tuesday) – State Primary Election. Polls open 7:00am – 7:00pm. Same day voter registration at polling location is available.

March 10, 2020 City/School Election

City & School Election: Registered voters will be electing five (5) City Councilors (one from each ward and two at-large) for two-year terms, one (1) Ward 2 City Councilor for one-year term, three (3) at-large Library Board Trustees for three-year terms, three (3) Lebanon School Board Members for three-year terms, one (1) School District Clerk, one (1) School District Moderator, and one (1) School District Treasurer. Declarations of Candidacy for City Council and Library Trustees are filed with the Office of the City Clerk in City Hall. School Board Members and School District Officers are filed with the School District Clerk at the SAU Office.
  • January 25 (Saturday), 9-9:30 am – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. NOTE: Last day to register to be able to vote at the February 1, 2019 School District Meeting. (Absentee voting and registering to vote the day of the meeting is not permitted by state law.)
  • January 27 (Monday), 6:00-6:30 pm - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall.
  • January 28 (Tuesday) at 9:00 am through February 11(Tuesday) at 5:00 pm: Filing period for the following offices: City Council, Library Trustees, School Board Members and School District Officers.
  • February 1 (Saturday) 9:00am - Lebanon School District Deliberative Session – begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Lebanon Middle School gym. (Snow date: Monday February 3rd at 6:00PM)
  • February 21 (Friday) - Expected date for Absentee Ballots to be available.
  • February 28 (Friday): Last day to register to vote at City Hall prior to Election.
  • February 29 (Saturday) 9:00-9:30 am – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. Last Day to register to vote prior to the March 10th election.
  • March 9 (Monday) – Last day for Absentee Ballots to be returned in person to City Hall.
  • March 10 (Tuesday) – City/School Election & Special Election Day – polls open from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. Same day voter registration at polling location is available.

September 8, 2020 State Election

  • June 2 (Tuesday) 6:00-6:30 pm - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall (Last day to change party affiliation prior to September Primary)
  • June 3 (Wednesday) at 9:00 am through June 12 (Friday) at 5:00 pm – Filing period for State Representatives and Delegates. Declarations of Candidacy are filed with the Office of the City Clerk.
  • September 1 (Tuesday) 6:00-6:30 pm – Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall. Last day to register to vote prior to the State Primary Election.
  • September 7 (Monday) – Last day to accept Absentee Ballots returned in person. (Note: The City Clerk’s Office will be open from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. All other City Offices are closed in observance of Labor Day. No other business aside from issuing and accepting absentee ballots will be available.)
  • September 8 (Tuesday) – State Primary Election. Polls open 7:00am – 7:00pm. Same day voter registration at polling location is available.

November 3, 2020 General Election

  • October 10 (Saturday) – 9:00am to 12:00pm – City Clerk’s Office will be open for voter registration and absentee balloting.
  • October 17 (Saturday) – 9:00am to 12:00pm – City Clerk’s Office will be open for voter registration and absentee balloting.
  • October 23 (Friday) - Last day to register to vote at City Hall during regular business hours prior to Election.
  • October 24 (Saturday) 9 – 9:30 am - Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session at City Hall.
  • October 24 (Saturday) 9:00am to 12:00pm – City Clerk’s Office will be open for voter registration and absentee balloting. Last day to register to vote prior to the General Election.
  • November 2 (Monday) – Last day to accept Absentee Ballots returned in person.
  • November 3 (Tuesday) – General Election. Polls open 7:00am – 7:00pm. Same day voter registration at polling location is available.
